Correcting misunderstandings of Tidal action
The classical view of Tides says that the moon’s gravity force draws the ocean levels upwards
However, the earth’s gravity force is a very weak force as we know from watching rockets leaving earth’s atmosphere. The moon’s gravity force is much weaker still at about one-sixth that of earth, and the moon is far distant. So clearly the gravitational effect of the moon upon the earth CANNOT be the cause of tidal action.
Whilst observed data pertaining to tides are readily available, the interpretation of the causal action has been incorrect - moon gravity & sun gravity forces are not the causal forces, because gravity is an ‘internal’ force, whereas magnetic fields are ‘external’ forces; clearly then the interaction of the sun & moon’s magnetic & electric forces combine (and predominate over influences from other planets) to influence the electric currents flowing within the earth and hence influence the static electric gravity force.
Note: Reflected light from the moon’s surface may also have a marginal impact on the earth.
The causal, transmission, mechanism is the moon’s magnetic influence upon the earth & its interference effect upon circulating currents. Recall: the moon’s axis is near perpendicular to the earth’s axis, hence the moon presents a mono-pole magnetic influence upon the earth. This causes a predominantly localised (at any particular time) potential variation on the earth’s surface & below, which alters the circulating currents, and hence varies the static electric field. Observations indicate that there is no direct correlation between tide rise whilst the moon is directly over-head (because there are obviously other factors influencing electric current flows - because observations do show a phase-shifted correlation). The magnetic influence of the moon causes a decrease in the earth’s static electric gravity force. Hence, as the gravity force weakens the water mass is raised (high tide), due to centrifugal force from the earth’s spin throwing the water away from earth; as the moon passes the static electric gravity force increases and it counters the centrifugal force and the water mass is drawn back toward the earth (low tide).
The Sun is providing the PMF (Primary Motive Force, vis: electric & magnetic fields torquing transmission) that causes the earth (& all other solar system planets) to spin as a SUPER-MOTOR, which is the energy from which the static electric gravity force originates. The Moon essentially modifies the amplitudes of the currents by its mono-polar influence & hence causes variations in the static electric gravity field, which raises/lowers the water level vertically (from which, water then flows horizontally = tide).
It is incorrect to argue that the moon is the predominant force that causes tides, it is the Sun providing the principal & significantly greater PMF which induces currents into the earth and which in turn produces magnetic & static electric fields and upon which the moon’s far smaller influence causes a small variation.
In effect this resultant action (of weakening/strengthening of the static electric gravity force) is a PUMP action, it causes the earth’s water to circulate & to remain ‘alive’. Vertical raising/lowering action causes horizontal water flows.
We can feel this effect when we have a bath. Stretch out full length with the water running in, and increasingly heating the water (i.e. hot water running sufficiently to raise overall temperature). When the water is about half-way to your stomach, arch your back upwards and feel the suction of the water and the warm water flowing around, when the water has settled lower your back and feel the water force up & over you.
Also note:-
- tidal actions over the earth’s surface is highly complex, this simplified explanation corrects previously incorrect models that argued that the moon’s gravity force was the causal force of tides. If you are interested in the greater complexities of tides, as observed rather than theoretically argued, then classic textbooks would be the place to start, or the web (but exercise extreme caution here as web data is generally not verified, and sifting through masses of media & sales garbage to find verified fact is extremely time consuming).
- this simplified explanation does not address the micro-issues of how the ether is functioning to cause these macro-events; i.e. until we fully know how energy is propagated through the switching-mechanism throughout the universe then we will not fully understand how matter is held together and to function as they do.
- we need to confirm the moon’s axis orientation to make sense of the finer macro points concerning tidal action (& other phenomena)
(Forthcoming: the issue of twinkling stars has previously been discussed; browsing an old school textbook brought the realisation, the other night, that there is concrete evidence, readily accessible, that has been staring us in the face for decades that confirms that light does twinkle, all the time – all light, not just from stars.)
